Notice our outdoor swimming pool near the right side of the picture?
On 27 Oct 1962, a United States Air Force RB-47 reconnaissance aircraft crashed on the property, after taking off
from nearby Kindley Air Force Base (now Bermuda International Airport), and damaged some of the outbuildings.
The cause of the crash was an improper water/alcohol mixture that had been prepared by a civilian contractor.
Unfortunately, sadly, all 4 crew-members died in the crash.
One of the holes in the ground caused by the crash became that swimming pool, which still exists today.
